Facilities Maintenance
The district participates in the State School Deferred Maintenance Program, which provides state matching funds on a dollar-for-dollar basis, to assist school districts with expenditures for major repair or replacement of existing school building components. Typically, this includes roofing, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical systems, interior or exterior painting, and floor systems. For the 2008-09 school year however, the district utilized the flexibility option authorized by the state and did not budget funds for the deferred maintenance program. At this time the district is anticipating receiving the state contribution to the Deferred Maintenance Program for 2008-2009 in excess of $250,000.
